I was so incredibly blessed that he was my Dad. The last few years had been challenging for him, as his body and mind were failing him. Dad said to me a few weeks ago that he wanted to be remembered as, “He tried his best.” He was an amazing Husband, Dad, Grandad, Great-grandad, Uncle and Friend, and I believe he did do his best for all of us. His heart was huge, although not always connected to his mouth. Those that knew him, know what I mean. He showed us what it means to be a good citizen of the world, how to take care of others and leave the world a better place. So many people are better off today because of him. Proud and lucky to call him my Dad. RIP.
